There is no question that our children are living in challenging times. It’s never been more important to provide young people with the support they need to become confident, well-adjusted, optimistic individuals. Our children deserve to learn in an environment that encourages them to understand that they are known and appreciated by the adults around them, for the special people they are.

At Greenville STEM Academy, we implement a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) that seamlessly combines assessment and intervention within a multi-level prevention system. Grounded in our high level of teacher-student engagement, our strategic framework aims to optimize student achievement and minimize behavior problems.

Through MTSS, we use data to identify students for acceleration, as well as those who are at risk of encountering learning challenges. This system empowers us to monitor student progress, administer evidence-based interventions when necessary, and dynamically adjust the intensity and nature of these interventions based on individual student responsiveness. Our proactive approach and mindset make it possible to meet each student in the specific place they are.

Additionally, MTSS plays a crucial role in supporting and identifying students with learning disabilities at Greenville STEM. MTSS makes it possible to develop and implement measurable plans to support students in their specific circumstances.
