Thank you for your interest in Greenville STEM Academy.  We will be happy to answer any questions you may have about student enrollment in 2024-25 or other topics.

As Greenville STEM Academy, we value and honor our teachers. We consider our educators as essential in our comprehensive, collaborative learning environment.

We view teachers as activators, deliberate change agents, and directors of learning. We empower them to take ownership and leadership of their classrooms. We furnish our teachers with the resources and support they need to help their scholars achieve full potential.

Research consistently shows that active and guided instruction surpasses unguided, facilitated approaches in effectiveness.

Our teachers play active roles in the day-to-day learning process. High levels of teacher-student engagement at Greenville STEM Academy is evidenced in the following characteristics:

(a) Active Student Participation:  Teachers maximize opportunities for students to respond and receive feedback.

(b) Unison Responding: Teachers encourage increased student responsiveness through repetitive chorally coordinated responses.

(c) Signals: Teachers actively providing cues to prompt unified oral responses.

(d) Pacing:  Teachers promote active student engagement through their organized approach and brisk pacing.

(e) Teaching to Mastery: Teachers ensure a solid grasp of the material over time through our meticulous, thorough process.

(f) Error Corrections: Teachers work to minimize student errors through carefully sequenced instruction. When errors occur, our teachers employ methodical correction procedures. They model, lead, test, retest.

(g) Motivation: Teachers are our students’ greatest champions. They elevate motivation levels by focusing and celebrating student achievements, and by fostering an environment that incorporates expectations of high student success rates.

These components collectively contribute to a dynamic and effective teaching and learning environment at Greenville STEM.
