Admissions

Greenville STEM Academy will begin operations by enrolling students in grades K-to-5 for the 2024-25 school year. Greenville STEM will add one grade level every year that follows and move to a year-round calendar in July 2025. At full capacity, Greenville STEM Academy will serve grades K-8 by academic year 2027-28.

The foundation of Greenville STEM Academy academics is a rigorous STEM-based Program, with passionate, empowered educators and school leadership that are fully committed to the best interests of every student and family we serve. Greenville STEM uses innovative teaching strategies to stimulate student curiosity, discovery, critical thinking and collaboration. The Classroom Environment & Culture at Greenville STEM focuses on student effectiveness that leads to implementation of action plans for each scholar.

As a result of the expansion of the Opportunity Scholarship Program in North Carolina in the 2024-25 school year, attendance at Greenville STEM Academy is tuition-free for many students.  The amount of scholarship a student receives is based on household income and time of application.  At Greenville STEM Academy, the scholarship amount families qualify for is often equal to or greater than the tuition fee at our school.  Accordingly, only families with extremely high household incomes, or those who apply late in the admissions season are likely to pay for a portion of their enrollment.

IMPORTANT:  The application period for the Opportunity Scholarship for the 2024-2025 school year will open on February 1, 2024. Families must apply by March 1, 2024, to receive priority consideration. Greenville STEM Academy will assist all of our enrolling families in the process at Application Meetings throughout February 2024.  Please monitor our communications and social media for days and times of our meetings.
